They start to run towards the building, just as the dust settles, they stop, and look what is before them. Tara and Alice are holding hands, gripping tight, as they stand at the opening of the building and Dom behind them.
First: (I’ve been believing) Tara stands quietly, looking at the smoked sky. Feeling so lonely and hurt. The longing for the comfort from Marcus, she never knew….
Second: (I’ve been denying this feeling) Marcus looks out the window, gazing with daydreams and promises he will find her, he will find out
Music: camera around everyone
Third: (All the promises I made) Barid looking at her photo, anger and frustrated as he grips his hand and looks away.
Fourth: (I have nothing left) Dom looks above the building wondering what will come of his life now he has brought two other people into his world.
Fifth: (We been falling for all this time) Alice walks towards the window where Tara is standing they both look at each other, hug and hold each other’s hand as they walk towards the opening of the building.
As the capsule landed on the ground of what used to be a town, it is a reminder of the war between the COGS and the Locust, and “We will be safe here for now.” Dom said to the girls. While traveling within the capsule, Dom explained everything that had happen to him, and the fighting he had to do within himself to control the Lambent growing inside him. He told how this all saved him, and it was Alice that did. “You saved me, if you had not of took me from, (Dom closes his eyes, filled with sadness being brought back to that moment), I would have been dead.” The girls hold Dom’s hand and Tara said, “Everything is going to be okay, we are here with you and we will help you. The girls walked out and looked up at this derelict building. “Welcome home, Tara.” Alice says sarcastically.
This is a time for understanding. Understanding what all this is. Telling the truth with Tara and giving her the freedom to choose what she wants to do in the future. How the relationship with Dom, half-human and half-Lambent. How are the COGS going to react towards him.
‘I do not care, how and if they are going to accept me or not. This is who I am now, I am not on any one side but my own, my own survival. I have learned to accept this and the choice to be who I am.”
“We understand Dom, and we will protect you in every way we can. We will. You are now our Brother. We will stand together, fight together,” Tara says with so much determination as she holds Dom shoulder.
Alice questions, “Is there anyone else like you, Dom? as she looks through the broken glass window.
“Yes, I am sure. I did sense some of them when I was on the field. (Closing his eyes, remembering bits and pieces of others like him) I can see it in their eyes. I know they are out there. You can save them, Alice, just like you saved me.’ Dom replies
“How are we going to find them without making this place a target”? Tara asks.
“I don’t know Tara, I will find away. “ Dom replies. “We will find a way.” Alice says.
Dom has a section of the building filled weapons and maps of the Locust underground bases. Located in the center of the room is a map. On that map is a 5-mile radius circled in red. He explains that is where they hold the interrogations and two miles within the inner circle is the developmental compound. He has searched the perimeter of this area and found a breach that is uncovered beyond the trench.
For months, Dom and the sister’s map out sections of the perimeter of the base, finding new evidence of survivors, and keeping records of guard exchange and load docking hours.
During a stake out, Tara and Alice are hiding behind some boulders, looking through high tech binoculars; Alice taps Tara’s side and has her look at what she sees. “Is that?” Tara says. “I can’t believe what I am seeing, what the f— is going on?” Tara says. Alice grabs Tara and they head back to their base.
The girls told Dom about what they had seen, and gave him the records they logged. Dom knew all along about this. He just wanted to have more confirmation. “It is time to get you girls back and time for me to confront my Brothers.” Dom says.
He gives Tara a communication earpiece and puts the satellite on. “Keep it short Tara, any type of communication can be picked up by them.” Tara nodded her head. “BlueDelta to Fenix, Blue Delta to Fenix, Tara repeats.
“Marcus, Marcus,” Carmine yells. “It’s Tara, Tara is online.” Marcus grabs the earpiece. “Marcus,” Tara says. Just before Marcus could respond, the communication was lost. “Damn it” Marcus yells as he throws down the earpiece. Barid runs to Marcus, “We got it. We got their location!” Barid says as he grabs Marcus’s arm. “Round the COGS up, we are heading out NOW!” Marcus yells.
Not more than an hour, helicopters fly over the buildings where they picked up the satellite location from Tara’s communication to Marcus.
Alice, Dom, and Tara look at the window watching the helicopters circle the area. As they take a deep breath, they look at each other and start walking towards the opening of the building. The sisters walk to the end, Alice looks back at Dom. She smiles at him, and he replies with a nod. The helicopters stir up a whirlwind of dust clouds as Marcus and Barid are the first ones to leap out of the helicopter. They start to run towards the building, just as the dust settles, they stop, and look what is before them. Tara and Alice are holding hands, gripping tight, as they stand at the opening of the building and Dom behind them.
